Product Review: Soap & Glory Great Shakes Hand Cream

Soap & Glory Great Shakes Hand Cream Is winter weather causing your skin to sing the blues? Every year, I struggle with flaky and dry skin and even cracked skin on my hands. I’ve tried half a dozen potions and lotions and while some help a little, I hadn’t stumbled on one that helped a lot.  ‘Til now, that is.

Great Shakes Hand Cream by Soap & Glory is perfection in a tube.  Their snarky advertising is what caught my attention one day when I was strolling through Target and looking for something (anything!) that would soothe the horrible (and itchy) dryness.  The label says “The Most Astonishing Hand Cream Ever?  You Decide!” and considering the small tube is only $2.99, I thought it was worth a try.  Oh, wow, am I glad I did! Now? I have several tubes of the stuff:  one in my car, one my desk, one in my golf back and a large one (only $9.99) on my nightstand.

Yes, it’s that wonderful.

Great Shakes is a glycerin based lotion, but unlike most glycerin lotions, it is never sticky.  It’s infused with fennel and lotus flowers and smells absolutely yummy.   And, unlike so many other “lotions and potions”, its very affordable.  Find it at your local Target store or through Target.Com if you live in the US, and at Harvey Nichols, Boots and Boots.com  if you live in the UK.

I also use their body butter cream as well as body butter lotion and it has made a major difference in  how my skin is feeling this winter.  Instead of singing the blues, my skin is in the PINK!
