Portraits of Power: Photos of Women of War
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a fantastic humanitarian organisation. They are working with Ann Jones, a writer and photographer, to highlight the survival stories of women in West Africa as part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence. For the next 16 days, starting tomorrow on Sunday Nov 25th, Ann will blog from West Africa and post these women’s stories and photos.
You can follow the blog each day, or sign up for notifications and updates. It is sure to be heart-breaking, eye-opening and perhaps inspiring. For most of us, we can not even imagine what women in these parts of the world have to endure and how incredible they are for surviving some of the most appalling and horrific experiences.
