Curbly - DIY Design (aka where any free time I have will now be spent)
So today I stumbled across Curbly - A DIY Design Community. In about 2.5 nano-seconds I was hooked. I love design in all shapes and forms, although perhaps not fashion design unless it consists of fall fashion with lots of deep autumn colours, striped socks and fuzzy scarves. My mother would have a heart attack at me saying this considering she was a fashion designer. Sorry mom.
Interior design is one thing I have a hidden lust for, although my apartment may not reflect that very well. I dream of painting walls and changing my duvet cover every few weeks. I flip through interior magazines and start planning out the ideal house I will one day build. Curbly offers all sorts of projects, tips and resources (and not just relating to interior design) from how to make ghost toast to making an acrylic lamp with birch veneer. It looks like my weekend may soon be filled with all sorts of DIY projects and just maybe this apartment can start getting a little style of its own.
