Diabetes, know the signs

As it is the time of year when many people will indulge in rich food and a few extra sweet things, it is a good time to make ourselves aware of the signs of diabetes. For most, the worst thing that can happen is that we might need to shed a few pounds after the holidays are over, but for some…

With New Moon out this week we revisit our interview with covergirl, Stephenie Meyer

with-new-moon-out-this-week-we-revisit-our-interview-with-covergirl-stephenie-meyer

I’m 30 and hooked on Twilight. I admit it. My husband is remarkably understanding of this and will accompany me next week to see New Moon. I’d rather not brave the first week and I want to actually hear what the characters are saying instead of girlish screams every time Edward or Jacob make an […]

Submitters, Visitors and Staff members are always asking for suggestions for writing and photography opportunities.  Here is an exciting project combining both photographs and either personal essays or fictional pieces.

Recipease - A New Way of Cooking

Jamie Oliver (our Man of the Moment in December 2008) has just launched his latest project Recipease here in the UK. Recipease is a new food and kitchen shop where you can learn to cook and make great food. You can book a lesson to come into the shop and make a meal in around 10 minutes (they have all the ingredients ready and waiting), buy freshly made food, or attend one of the longer classes to learn more about cooking. The goal is to open various food and kitchen emporiums around the UK, with the first opening on February 26th in Clapham Junction.

Lovely Jewelery at Jenny Bunny Creations

lovely-jewelery-at-jenny-bunny-creations

I’m not big into jewelery. Most days all I wear is my wedding and engagement rings. That’s it. When I go out, I tend to wear rather subdued clothes - all very much “nature colours” and chocolate brown is a staple for me. I do however, love snazzing-up an outfit with a really lovely, bright […]
