From the Editor: Welcome to Love & Lust (Jan/Feb 2008)
I believe it was John Lennon who wrote “all you need is love”…..and while I agree in many ways that love is the answer to many things….I also find that lust is certainly an answer that can provide a little fun to the mix! That brings us very well to the first issue of 2008: Love & Lust.
When you take a look at the January/February issue, I hope you take some time to truly explore. First, our classics: Writings & Arts. In Writings…. you will find pieces that make you long for romance…and poems that make you squirm in your seat a little as you feel a jolt of lust. I know you’re recognize some faces….and will be thrilled at the discovery of some new talent as well. And what can I say about Arts? Art is again a masterpiece of visuals….as some amazing photographers share with us glimpses of lust….and heartwarming moments of love.
As always, Everything Girl excites me. There is a feature article on our cover girl, Deborah Harry of Blondie fame, as well as an interview with Hottie John Dauer. When it comes to inspirations, I’m sure you will find the interview with author Liza Palmer makes you think. Our resident columnists have more than outdone themselves….and I have to tell you that when I write in my gratitude journal, these amazing women are something I am grateful for! We have columns on weddings, nutrition, on-line stores, body image and resolutions.
Be sure an grab a fresh cup of coffee when you sit down to read Everything Girl!
And let’s not forget Reviews. You’ll find several music reviews as well as a book review….just in case you needed idea on how to spend those gift cards. As always, keep an eye The Blog. You never know what you might find as the editors and columnists share what’s on their minds…..
We’re still taking submissions for “Love & Lust” by the way, but you need to be quick. We’ll have a mid-issue update February 1st (just in time for Valentine’s Day) and will be adding a few items here and there….including some fresh reviews, an interview with author Kristen Harmel…and much more! If you are inspired to share your talents, submissions are open for future editions of All Things Girl – and we can’t wait to see what you’ve got!
What is it that you lust for? And what gives you the warm fuzzy feelings of love? We look forward to hearing what you think!
