From the Editor: Welcome to Harmony (November/December 2009)

When planning themes for All Things Girl, we try to balance out something inspirational while matching the time of year.  The end of any year brings  Holy Seasons for many religions of the world as well as the spiritual and secular impending New Year.   “Harmony”, we hope, covers both of those areas for each of you.  Of course, as I think about our theme, this child of the 70’s sings in my head the old Coca Cola commercial, “I’d like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony”….  Peace, love and harmony are certainly wishes to send out to all of you as we move into the final two months of 2009.  It’s with this thought that we bring you the final All Things Girl issue of 2009: Harmony.

As you peruse this fabulous little piece of cyberspace we’ve created for you at All Things Girl, I hope you find some inspiration on the journey through our pages. First of all, let me point the way to the classic sections of Writings and Arts, which are representative of our theme. Grab a fresh cup of cocoa and spend some time with Writings , where you will find both lighthearted and heartfelt short stories and poems. I know you’ll recognize many names here and will be just as excited to discover new talent as well. And don’t forget our Arts section, which is a veritable joy to view. Everything Girl is, as always, wonderful. You will find part one of our interview with our cover girl Lisa Loeb as well as a short interview with Teen Heartthrob, Chaske Spencer.

As always, keep an eye on The Blog. You never know what you might find as the editors and columnists share what’s on their minds.

We’re still taking submissions for “Harmony” by the way, but you need to be quick. We’ll have a mid-issue update December 1st and will be adding a few items here and there… If you are inspired to share your talents, submissions are open for future editions of All Things Girl – and we can’t wait to see what you’ve got!

I am hopeful that the end of 2009 will bring you personal joy and harmony.  2010 is just around the corner, waiting to bring you wonderful joys and inspiration.
