From the Editor: Mid-Issue Update: Journeys
Can you believe that the first month of 2009 is complete and we are moving into February? Time marches on and during that time we can go along with the crowd or march along to the beat of our drummer. Ahhhh…the beauty of this thing that we call life. Life is about the Journey. And here we are with our mid-issue update for this first All Things Girl issue of 2009: Journeys.
I have to tell you with what joy the pages of All Things Girl are created. It’s been seven years since I joined All Things Girl and each and every issue seems to be better than the last. I hope you find some inspiration on the journey through our pages. First of all, let me point the way to the classic sections of Writings and Arts, which are representative of our theme. Grab a fresh cup of coffee and spend some time with Writings , where you will find realling amazing pieces that you can sink your intellectual teeth into, with some new poetry as well as a short story or two. And don’t forget our Arts section, which is simply delightful. Everything Girl is, as always, wonderful. You will find part tw of our interview with our cover girl Laura Bell Bundy as well as a peek into the mind of our cute as pie Man of the Moment, Ben Bailey . Everything Girl is also a great place to find some thought-provoking journeys into the minds of our regular columnists and editorial staff, including a new staff member, Elia Sheldon, who is thrilled to lend us advice about the World of Work. Oh, and though we often put reviews here in the blog, you will still find recommendations in Reviews! As always, keep an eye on The Blog. You never know what you might find as the editors and columnists share what’s on their minds.
We’re taking submissions for the March / April issue “Wilderness” by the way, as well as all future editions of 2009. We love it when you are inspired to share your talents. The contributors is truly what makes All Things Girl so special.
I am hopeful that 2009 has begun on a fabulous note for you. Remember that life is better enjoyed as a journey and not about the end game.
