Celebrating Sex and the City: The Movie

celebrating-sex-and-the-city-the-movie

Today is the release of the long awaited Sex and the City: The Movie. Fan or foe of the fabulous four (Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda) surely you’re curious if Carrie and Big will actually tie the knot.

To celebrate….make the quintessential Sex and the City Cocktail: The Cosmopolitan (which, even though it’s no longer trendy, it is my favorite cocktail). Choose high-quality liquor, by the way….you’ll thank yourself the day after….

Cosmo….with limeIn a martini shaker, toss in several ice cubes and add:

1 ounce of vodka
1 ounce of Triple Sec or Grand Marnier
1 ounce of Cranberry Juice
Juice of 1/2 a Lime

Shake well, strain into a chilled glass…..

For those Sex and the City fans….tell me….what is your favorite episode?

The cosmo was my first cocktail, though these days I’m more of a lemon drop girl. Loved the movie. It was fun and sexy, and everything I hoped it would be.

Is it wrong that I lust after their apartments, even though I own my own home?

Favorite episode? Either Miranda learning the secret of “he’s just not that into you,” or the one where Carrie’s man of the moment dumps her via post-it.

Mmmmmm… Favourite episode? There are so many to choose from! Melissa, I’m with you on the episode where Carrie gets dumped via a post-it. That was a shocker!

Another scene that stood out for me was the one where Samantha and the girls head off to Las Vegas for the weekend, staying at Samantha’s (then) boyfriend Richard’s hotel. Anyway, Samantha finally gets tired of doubting his loyalty and dumps him with the line ‘I love you too, Richard. But I love me more.’ Classic!

I also loved the episode where Miranda and Steve get back together on Brady’s first birthday… And the episode where Carrie trips on the catwalk… and, and, and…
